Today, considering the vital role of museums in society, discovery and search for entrepreneurship in the museum is one of the motivations of researchers in the field of museum studies and management, as well as tourism which can, in addition to preserving and presenting better the heritage and collections of the museum, provide opportunities for improving the economic situation, diversifying the tourism market, creating a unique experience, educating and learning visitors, and a suitable platform for discussing and expressing political and social problems and culture. Entrepreneurship in museums, along with its advantages, obstacles, and potential solutions, has not been extensively studied in the context of Iranian museums. The current research pursues the following three goals: 1) Identifying the advantages of entrepreneurship in the museum, 2) Identifying the barriers to the development of entrepreneurship in the museum context, and 3) Identifying the appropriate solutions and strategies for the development of entrepreneurship in the museum. This research is exploratory research and qualitative method (thematic analysis) is used. The statistical community of the research was formed by experts in the fields of entrepreneurship, tourism, and museums, and the data analysis tool is MaxqDA software. The findings of the research indicate that the museum has the necessary potential for the development of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, cultural and social entrepreneurship, tourism with an entrepreneurial perspective, educational opportunities as entrepreneurship advantages, and structural, environmental, and behavioral factors were identified as entrepreneurship obstacles in the museum. In the end, the 6 strategies of market penetration, product development, collaboration, policy making, education, and cultural awareness were introduced as suitable strategies for entrepreneurship in the museum.

Urban policies prioritize knowledge production, innovation, and economic growth. As a new land use type, innovation districts have gained prominence in urban development policies and planning worldwide. However, these districts face significant challenges, including conflicts during their development and misalignments with existing urban plans. This study aims to identify these conflicts, redefine the role of innovation districts in urban planning, and propose a structured framework for their management. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach, the research applies thematic analysis, Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), MICMAC analysis, and GIS to examine the Eghbal Innovation District in Yazd. The findings reveal 29 distinct conflicts, classified into eight categories, with legal and managerial conflicts emerging as the most influential, exerting the greatest impact on other conflict types. Conversely, social, participatory, and physical form conflicts exhibit a high degree of dependency. To address these challenges, the study introduces a comprehensive conflict management framework, offering insights for policymakers and urban planners to enhance the effectiveness of innovation district implementation.

In line with the realization of the necessary strategic approach to achieve the future vision and attain a clear concept of the future of Fars Province, the present study has identified the key drivers influencing regional development prospects using a futurology approach within the framework of land use planning in Fars Province. This research is applied in terms of purpose (of the strategic development type), descriptive-analytical in terms of methodology, and inductive in terms of research approach. The data collection method was based on a documentary-survey approach utilizing the Delphi technique, and the interaction analysis method was employed to identify the research drivers. The statistical population of the study consisted of 37 experts and specialists in the field of regional development and land use planning, who were selected using the snowball sampling method. For data analysis and structural analysis of the impact of each indicator on regional development in Fars Province, the MICMAC software was used. The results of the study indicate that out of the 30 factors examined, four factors—investment attraction, the provincial land use planning system, governance, and water resources—are identified as key drivers influencing the regional development of Fars Province. These factors should be integrated into the planning of visions and regional development of Fars Province by the relevant organizations. Additionally, the findings revealed that variables such as education, technical and scientific activities, and climate are strategic variables with significant macro-level impacts on the regional development of Fars Province.

Abstract: In recent years, the historic urban fabrics of many Iranian metropolises have encountered significant economic, social, and physical challenges, diminishing their role in the broader urban development process. This study seeks to develop a sustainable regeneration model centered on the creative economy, using the area surrounding the Blue Mosque of Tabriz as a case study. The research focuses on identifying the untapped potential of the local economy—including traditional crafts, small-scale businesses, historic marketplaces, and active community networks—as foundational elements for creative and context-sensitive regeneration. Employing a qualitative methodology and a descriptive-analytical approach, data were gathered through literature review, field observations, and expert consultations. The SWOT analytical framework was used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the study area. Findings reveal that, despite the area's rich historical, cultural, economic, and geographic assets, decades of ineffective and fragmented urban interventions have hindered realizing its local economic potential in alignment with creative economy principles. As a result, the study proposes key strategies for regeneration, including urban place branding rooted in local identity, the development of cultural tourism based on endogenous resources, the adaptive reuse of underutilized spaces for creative functions, and support for traditional livelihoods and micro-enterprises. Ultimately, the research underscores that successful regeneration efforts must be underpinned by inclusive policymaking that prioritizes community participation, cultural awareness, and the strategic integration of local capacities into broader urban planning frameworks.

Museums today are established within cities in line with socio-cultural equity, serving as accessible gateways for all citizens to understand and engage with human life and the surrounding environment. Although these institutions differ in subject, scale, quality, and function, they all strive to identify and attract the largest possible audiences and to improve their service delivery. The Museum of Decorative Arts of Iran, housed in the Rakeb-Khaneh Palace in Isfahan, despite its cultural, historical, and geographical advantages, suffers from a shortage of visitors compared to competing museums. This study aims to develop effective strategies to attract a larger audience to this museum by identifying the factors contributing to this challenge and proposing operational solutions. The main research problem is to investigate the reasons behind the museum’s low attendance and to identify suitable strategies for increasing visitor numbers. The research questions include identifying the museum’s internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as its external opportunities and threats, determining its strategic position, and proposing practical measures to attract audiences. This study employs a qualitative case-study approach, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews and questionnaires involving experts in museum studies. A SWOT analysis revealed that the museum is in a “conservative” strategic position, indicating that, despite numerous external opportunities, internal weaknesses have hindered the full realization of its potential. The results led to the proposal of strategies such as market development (creating an independent database, launching a website, and informing tour guides), market penetration (designing catalogs, using billboards, and organizing thematic exhibitions), product development (providing digital content, specialized tours, and enhanced amenities), and horizontal integration (holding joint exhibitions and offering combination tickets). These strategies, emphasizing audience needs and reinforcing the museum’s ties with the community, not only help revitalize the Museum of Decorative Arts of Iran but also contribute to the vitality of Isfahan’s urban tourism economy. By providing an operational framework, this research fills a gap in the existing literature and enriches the knowledge base of museum marketing.

his study aims to present a comprehensive model for analyzing industrial investment in the housing sector from 2005-2023. The proposed model, developed using system dynamics methodology, incorporates a range of economic factors, including monetary variables (such as inflation, interest rates, and exchange rate fluctuations) and non-monetary variables (such as population growth, urbanization, and migration), along with fiscal, regulatory, and technological policies. The model employs reinforcing and balancing loops to examine the complex interactions among these variables. The results indicate that exchange rate fluctuations and inflation are major deterrents to investment. At the same time, government financial support and the adoption of advanced technologies can enhance productivity and help balance supply and demand. Furthermore, technological advancements play a critical role in reducing construction costs and accelerating project completion. The innovation of this study lies in the development of a dynamic model capable of simulating the long-term behavior of key variables and providing actionable solutions to reduce market volatility and improve sustainability in the housing sector. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and planners in making informed decisions to manage investment in the housing industry effectively.
